During Salone del Mobile, Kartell highlighted their 15 years of transparency, research and experimentation in injection-molding with transparent polycarbonate in a single mould. Kartell now presents its latest polycarbonate collection created by cult designer Philippe Starck. The appraised collection includes the world’s largest single-mould polycarbonate sofa called “Uncle Jack’ sofa, and also ‘Uncle Jim’ armchair, and ‘Uncle Jo’ small armchair that come in many different colors. One of those chairs upgrade any place and it is a cool conversation piece!

Designer Alavaro Catalan de Ocons founded the PET LAMP project to put the spotlight on the environmental impact of plastic bottles. PET LAMP combines the reuse of plastic bottles with artisan handcraft, design knowledge and textile tradition in Colombia to develop and produce these very unique and beautiful light objects. What a fantastic project …We need more of those !
To avoid becoming stylised, the designer wanted to keep the bottle top and its neck allowing the client to know the origin and history of each lamp.
