Berlin-based gallery Camera Work presents until July 12, 2014 a solo exhibition of Patrick Demarchelier. The must-see exhibition grants a comprehensive insight into his style-defining art as a photographer, showcasing a selection of 50 of his most renowned works. Patrick Demarchelier is considered to be one of the most eminent classical photo artists, specialising in fashion, nude and portrait.
Capturing Nadja Auermann, Naomi Campbell, Cindy Crawford, Linda Evangelista or Kate Moss, to name a few – in his works, the artist is not only perfectly capable of making the intimacy of each character tangible, but also to assimilate ambivalences using his unique style. His photographs celebrate the top models’ beauty without suffocating their appearance in a construction of artificiality. He is leaving space for a certain genuines and achieves to unveil his protagonist’s individual personality. Patrick Demarchelier is one of the most outstanding photographers of our time!

Artist Nick Meek visualized images for the campaign of Sony’s new 4K TV, a monitor which promises four times the detail of full high definition. The photographer and his team flew to the colorful tropics of Costa Rica, where they collected for more than two weeks thousands of multicolored flower petals and leaves which would become the fundamental medium for the amazing project of visual explosion. Magnificent!
